What is the Radiance Laser Treatment?
Laser Genesis is a safe, non-ablative laser treatment designed to refresh your skin without the need for numbing or recovery time. It works by stimulating your skin’s natural repair process, encouraging collagen and elastin production.
Most patients notice subtle improvements immediately, with continued results over the following weeks as their skin naturally rejuvenates. Unlike more aggressive lasers, Laser Genesis is gentle enough to be suitable for most skin types, even those with sensitive skin.
We usually recommend 4-6 treatments, spaced 4 weeks apart, with ongoing maintenance treatments suggested at 12 monthly intervals. With no numbing required, this treatment is conveniently quick and simple. And as there's no down-time after the treatment, you can return to your day immediately after treatment.
Preparing for your Laser Genesis treatment is simple and ensures you get the best results from your session. On the day of your Laser Genesis treatment, avoid wearing any make-up, so the laser can work directly on your skin. Minimise sun exposure and skip fake tan for at least two weeks before treatment, as freshly tanned or sunburnt skin can affect results. If you have an active cold sore, let us know, your session will be rescheduled until it has fully healed. Following these preparation steps helps your skin respond best to Laser Genesis, keeping the treatment safe, effective, and comfortable.
After your Laser Genesis treatment, your skin may appear slightly red or feel warm, similar to a mild sunburn, but this generally settles within 24 hours. Any pigmented areas that were treated may temporarily look darker for 7–10 days, which is a normal part of the healing process. Make-up can be applied immediately if you wish, but we recommend avoiding perfume, alcohol, or strenuous exercise for the remainder of the day. Sunscreen is essential: apply it before leaving the clinic and continue for several days after treatment. Proper sun protection preserves the results of your Laser Genesis facial, helping your skin stay brighter and smoother for longer.
Laser Genesis is an excellent option for anyone looking for a quick, non-invasive skin rejuvenation treatment. You can book a free consultation with a specialist nurse, who will assess your skin and discuss which laser treatment best suits your goals. This may include the standard Laser Genesis treatment or a combined approach with a chemical peel, which we call the Radiance Facial. In many cases, these treatments can be performed on the same day. Dr Marianne Nolan is also available for a cosmetic consultation, for a fee of $220.

What is Laser Genesis?
Laser Genesis is a gentle, non-invasive laser treatment designed to rejuvenate the skin. It’s a clinically proven approach that refreshes skin texture, reduces redness, and improves overall tone without needles or downtime. By working beneath the surface, it helps your skin look smoother, healthier, and naturally radiant.
How does Laser Genesis work?
Laser Genesis uses gentle pulses of laser light to warm the upper layers of your skin. This stimulates your skin’s natural repair processes, encouraging collagen and elastin production, which helps reduce fine lines, tighten pores, and improve overall texture. Results appear gradually, with subtle improvements often visible immediately and continuing over the weeks following treatment.
Does Laser Genesis build collagen?
Yes. One of the key benefits of Laser Genesis is that it stimulates collagen and elastin production, which helps improve skin firmness, elasticity, and overall smoothness. Over time, your skin appears brighter, more even, and refreshed.
Who is a good candidate for Laser Genesis?
Laser Genesis is suitable for most skin types and tones. It’s ideal for anyone wanting to improve skin texture, reduce the appearance of fine lines, or treat mild pigmentation and redness. If you have active skin infections, open wounds, or recent tanning, we’ll advise waiting until your skin has healed.
When is the best time to have Laser Genesis?
Laser Genesis can be performed year-round, although it’s best to avoid direct sun exposure before and after treatment. Both Laser Genesis and the Radiance Facial are also popular before big events, as they help give the skin a fresh, healthy glow. Many will choose to have this rejuvenation treatment in the lead-up to the festive season, which is why we sometimes refer to it as our “party season glow-up.”
For the safest and most effective results, we recommend scheduling your treatment when your skin is free of sunburn, fake tan, or any active skin lesions.
How many treatments will give me the desired result?
Most patients achieve their best results with 4–6 sessions, spaced about four weeks apart. Many continue with annual maintenance treatments to keep skin looking bright, smooth, and refreshed.
What is Laser Genesis before and after like?
Patients often notice an immediate glow and smoother texture after treatment, with further improvements in fine lines, redness, and overall skin tone in the following weeks as collagen production increases. For more dramatic results, multiple sessions are recommended.
How much does Laser Genesis cost?
A single Laser Genesis treatment is $385. We also offer a package of six treatments for $1,925, giving you one treatment free. During your consultation, we’ll guide you on the number of sessions you may need based on your skin goals.
Is Laser Genesis treatment painful?
Most patients describe the sensation as a warm, tingling feeling or tiny rubber band flicks on the skin. It’s generally very comfortable, and oral analgesics can be offered if you prefer extra comfort.
Can Laser Genesis help with sun-damaged skin?
Yes. Laser Genesis can improve the appearance of mild sun damage, including fine lines, uneven texture, and early pigmentation changes. While it won’t replace more targeted sun damage treatments, it’s an excellent part of an overall skin rejuvenation plan.
