The Walter-Nolan Multi Laser Procedure

The Walter-Nolan Multi-Laser Procedures are the speciality of the house at Neutral Bay Laser & Dermatology Clinic. Developed by our founder, Dr James Walter, and our skin laser physician, Dr Marianne Nolan, this method of treatment offers the most effective skin rejuvenation available, tailoring the choice of lasers and treatments to your skin’s specific needs and condition.

The WNMLP uses multiple lasers in one treatment sitting, to address your skin’s unique combination of redness, pigmentation and blemishes. It is a cost-effective and time-effective rejuvenation process and can be used on the face, neck and décolletage, as well as hands and arms.

Typically patients require three to four treatments about one month apart.

Treatment with the Walter-Nolan Multi Laser Procedure

Patients arrive an hour before laser treatment to have anaesthetic cream applied to the areas being treated. Eye shields are used for eye protection. The combination of lasers used will vary from one patient to the next, but include the Ellipse Nordlys BBL, vascular, pigment or Erbium lasers. Most lasers cause a slight stinging feeling, similar to the flick of a small, warm elastic band against your skin. Depending on the area being treated, the treatment lasts between 30 – 60 minutes.

After Treatment

After treatment, we offer you ice packs to keep the treated area cool. Most patients have some redness and swelling for a day or two, and some patients will experience some pigmentation, which will flake or fade after two or three days. For this reason, we like to ensure patients are free from important engagements or events for several days following the Walter-Nolan Multi Laser Procedure. Make up can be worn immediately after treatment.

Potential Side Effects

Laser treatments are very safe. However, redness, some swelling and possible pigmentation can occur for 1-3 days after treatment.

Duration of Treatment

Multiple treatments will commonly be required and the number of treatments required can vary from patient to patient. Three to four treatments are typical, one month apart.

Cost

The costs of the Walter-Nolan Multi Laser Procedure will vary, depending on the number of lasers being used, the size of the area of skin being treated and the number of treatments required. For this reason, we cannot give generalised estimates. Patients are requested to see our Dr Terence Poon our Dermatologist, who will perform a skin health check prior to approving a Walter-Nolan Multi Laser Procedure. This ensures there are no pre-existing skin concerns which may either affect the efficacy of the Walter-Nolan Multi Laser Procedure or which may themselves be aggravated or negatively affected by the treatment. Dr Poon will provide a quote at the time of consultation and you are free to make a treatment booking at that time or to take home the information for further consideration.
