Treatment while pregnant or breastfeeding

Pregnancy or breastfeeding are not in themselves contraindications for most laser treatments. In fact, there are a number of conditions such as angiomas, pyogenic granulomas, skin tags and other benign skin lesions, which are often treated during pregnancy due to irritation or bleeding etc. The limiting factor for laser treatments is the requirement for anaesthesia, either topical or injection, which we would generally avoid during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

We do not recommend the use of cosmetic injectables such as anti-wrinkle injections or dermal fillers in pregnancy or lactation.

Please contact the medical and nursing staff at the clinic should you have any further queries.
