Kleresca – biophotonic treatment for acne
The latest light-based technology for the treatment of acne.
Kleresca is a breakthrough BioPhotonic treatment that significantly and comfortably improves acne, with a high safety profile.
Neutral Bay Laser & Dermatology Clinic is proud to have been selected as the first clinic in Australia to offer this revolutionary new treatment.
It is an excellent choice for those patients who are unable or who may not wish to take antibiotics, hormonal treatments or Roaccutane.
Kleresca harnesses the power of BioPhotonics to safely treat your acne and stimulate the skin’s own repair systems. The treatment uses a high intensity, in-clinic lamp, together with a photoconverter gel, to kill bacteria in the skin and initiate healing.
Treatment with Kleresca
Patients interested in Kleresca treatment are required to consult with our Dermatologist, in the first instance, to ensure Kleresca is the right treatment for your acne type and skin type.
If Kleresca is determined to be appropriate, patients attend the clinic twice a week, for six weeks.
Each of these treatments involves 9 minutes under a multi-wavelength LED light. A nurse will apply a topical orange gel to the skin being treated, which acts as a converter of the LED light, effectively treating the required area.
After the six week treating period, regular reviews will be scheduled to monitor your progress.
Can all acne be treated with Kleresca?
As with all acne treatments, Kleresca will not be suitable for all acne types, nor all skin types. Our Dermatologist will assess each patient’s acne to determine the best course of treatment for that individual.
Patients with moderate to severe papular and pustular acne, and whose skin does not have a history of other dermatological issues, such as melasma or rosacea, will be best suited to this treatment. There are other treatments for acne which may be suitable for patients who’s skin may not be suitable for Kleresca.
